A seminar focusing on the improvement of quality and volume of vegetables export to the EU was held in Da Lat on November 26.

The seminar was co-organized by Lam Dong provincial department of trade and tourism and Sippo, a Swiss organisation for vegetables and fruits export.

Experts from Sippo provided participants, among them vegetables and fruits farmers in the province, with latest market information and processing techniques and growing technologies to help them gain market access to the EU.

Farmers in Lam Dong province and Da Lat have been able to get access to safe vegetables and fruits production technologies over the last few years yet the amount exported to the EU is still low.

Lam Dong province has more than 24,000 hectares of land for vegetable growing, mostly in Da Lat city and Duc Trong and Don Duong districts.
